This is a Special Guest and no discounts or passes can be used with this workshop. This will start in a group with Jane introducing herself and a Group Q and A, and then will be One on One.
**Membership is Free, when you bring a Food Donation for Charity to your first workshop of the year.
Since 1980, Jane Jenkins has cast over 100 feature films, including the Academy Award winning A Beautiful Mind, Something’s Gotta Give, The Da Vinci Code, Angels & Demons, Oscar nominated Apollo 13, Frost/Nixon, Air Force One, Jurassic Park, The American President, A Few Good Men, Backdraft, Misery, Ghost, When Harry Met Sally,Mystic Pizza, Beetlejuice, Stand By Me, A Perfect Storm, and one of the most beloved films of all time, The Princess Bride– to name just a few.
In 2006, her book, A STAR IS FOUND (which she wrote with former partner, Janet Hirshenson, was published. Jane is a charter member of the Casting Society of America, as well as a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. In 1999 Jane and Janet were awarded the first “Casting Director of the Year” award by the Hollywood Film Festival and they have been the recipients of Artios Awards for the casting of Parenthood, Harry Potter, and Home Alone. They have also received “The Hoyt Bowers Award” for Outstanding Achievement in Casting.
Jane began her career in entertainment as an actress in New York City. She entered the casting profession while working in film production. Her first project was “On The Nickel”, an independent film written, produced and starring her friend Ralph Waite.
